The day was perfect. I could start and end with that but I feel like everyone needs to get in on the details.

Jamie and Jason are people who cherish their relationships with others and it shows. They are also people who love surprising those people, and they definitely did that, for the entire jaw dropping day. It started at Jamie’s parents house where she was getting ready for the ‘rehearsal dinner’ and everyone was gathered around, not knowing what was to come.

I was let in on the secrets a number of months before. Some people knew different bits but nobody knew it all and watching it unfold was beautiful.

21 close friends and family wandered up together to R.K. Heliski thinking that they would be dining together for the rehearsal dinner in the restaurant behind. It wasn’t until they began filling out waivers that people began to put together that they probably weren’t signing for dinner…

2 helicopter trips of excited passengers got us all to the summit of Panorama at The Summit Hut for obvious breathtaking views. But they weren’t done with surprises yet….

People started to catch drift of what just might be happening and gathered around to overlook the mountains. That is when Jamie walked out, to what has long been her dream – getting married on the summit of her favourite childhood location. Her sisters then clued in why her finding a white ski jacket had seemed so important months before.

And it continued to be perfect. It was one of those days where all the moments are just right and work together – their vows were funny and heartfelt, even the light broke just at the right moments (which maybe is just super nerdy cool for a photographer), and all of their closest people were there with them.

If that wasn’t enough, as soon as the ceremony was done there was cheesy fondue waiting to warm everyone up inside.

Perfect, this day was perfect.
