These two parents are clearly in love with their long lashed, future baseball playing, chemist mixing beauty. She took her time coming but I think was definitely worth the wait. Brett has a passion for baseball and used this to tell his family. For you non-knowledgable baseball people, a team needs 9 players on the field. With numbers of nieces and nephews at the ‘telling’, added up to 8. So when making teams, Brett had someone draw for the 9th player and they pulled out ‘baby’. It took some of the younger ones to understand what was going on but the older ones got it right away! What a cool way to tell the family.
This was the first photoshoot, where at points, I have ever been on the other side of the camera. Very few people would I actually feel totally comfortable with grabbing my camera to take photos but it’s different when that person picking up your camera was your high school photography buddy. It was a shot down memory lane for both of us, remembering our favourite poses from back in the day, and sparking some old ideas and laughs. I have definitely missed having Lauren in my life!
It definitely wasn’t just Lauren rolling through the ideas though, Brett was ready for baby placement and props. I was joking (but totally serious) that these two should defintely come on shoots with me!
I can’t wait to watch to see how she grows!
