I have been photographing weddings in the Calgary and surrounding area for over 10 years. To me, great photographs aren’t about the perfect hair or stiff smiling poses. Great photographs evoke emotion. They transport us in time to the feeling of that exact moment (and, the wedding moments that you are about to experience will be magical.) You deserve photos that show this. You deserve an experience that is fun. Great photographs capture your true connection, your personalities, and the way you are together. My gift is in reading people and knowing how to guide you so you can simply just be who you are. I know when to push for a pose or when to let the moment unfold. My end goal is to capture the two of you in beautiful ways that show the true you (just in a bit nicer clothing than usual).

Planning a 2SLGBTQIA+ wedding is fun but can have its challenges. We wanted to ensure we were fully comfortable and cheered on by the vendors we chose. We also love supporting businesses within our community. Shannon checked all of these boxes. Not only does she have an ability to make everyone feel comfortable, you can tell she truly cares about your story and who you are. This definitely shows through in our photos. She helped us with the timing and scheduling of the day which allowed us to really relax knowing she had our back. We are in love with the photos that she took and continue to watch the slideshow to take us back to that day. We now have art work for our walls as she set up a night shot of us dancing in our beautiful backyard, surrounded by the people we love.
Shannon’s talent, heart, and passion can be seen in every single picture she takes. Not only were the pictures she photographed of our wedding unbelievable – Shannon and her mom were an amazing team, and such a fun addition to our day. During a time that can be quite stressful, overwhelming and exhausting, Shannon went above and beyond in every single way. We selected Shannon to do our engagement and wedding photos and we made the best decision. Shannon is incredible at capturing so many candid moments and beautiful shots. Shannon even put together a beautiful slideshow of photos during our dinner that played after speeches were done. Everyone was amazed at that!
Shannon is everything you want in a photographer. She’s punctual, knows great spots in Calgary, is great at communicating, patient, has an amazing eye for detail and it the most kind and genuine person you would ever meet. Most importantly Shannon is the most fun.
For as stressful as planning a wedding can be, Shannon made the photography portion easy. We were able to truly enjoy our day while they captured every moment inside and out. During our first look and for our first shots as husband and wife, they gave us the chance to enjoy ourselves and let us guide much of the process. It was great to have these moments feel natural and organic and I believe that shows in our beautiful photos. So many of our guests commented on the amazing video collage Shannon put together before dinner and I still love to watch it and reminisce about the day.
Having not had professional photos done before, my fiance and I were a little worried about looking stilted and awkward. Shannon embraced our natural goofiness and through some sorcery, turned it into photos that were fun, natural, and really captured the energy of the day.
