I used to battle against (soon to be Mama) Sadie in our early days of ringette with her as a goaltender in the East of Canada, and me in the West. That was until Ringette Camps pulled us together for a long time friendship of costumes and belly laughs. I had yet to meet her partner who she had been telling me about with such a glow for quite awhile, and it is fair to say as I drove away from Edmonton after this maternity photography shoot I couldn’t stop smiling thinking about this perfect life she has created with Jenelle and her daughter Desia. To see her as a mama was pretty special, and to see her in her now life made me smile even more.
This photoshoot was so fun for me to be able to shoot these three ladies (and maybe one more in the belly if Desia can have any pull!) They were full of great ideas (and pizza), and were up for anything. Sadie might not be able to move in quite the same way as she once did in her crease but she was up for trying!
I cannot wait to meet the little one when it decides to make it’s way into this world. 🙂
